Popular Posts

It has been quiet at this blog for some time. Some more booklets came in that I still have to scan and publish. A new feature on this blog shows a new direction. The Popular Post feature shows the pages of the booklets that are looked on the most. They will form the seperate words beside this blog now and maybe form new words and existing words. A small experiment only possible as a combination of mail and Internet.

You can ask for a booklet

In case you would like to join this project, you can ask to receive a special Alphabet Booklet. Request can be sent through e-mail or snail-mail. This Alphabet Booklet project has just started. New aspects of it will be reveiled as the project continues. If you request a booklet, you will always get a new one. The booklets that are returned are considered being finished and they join the growing collection.

An A- and X- booklet returned.

Two more booklets returned. They arrived in my P.O. Box when I was in Germany last week. Soon I will scan them and will publish them on this blog. It is the first fase of this Alphabet Booklet project. More phases will follow and information will be published about the next steps on this blog. About 20 booklets have been sent out so far. More will follow.

Sample of content in one of the outgoing booklets

In one of the fist booklets I sent out I made this collage.

Start of the Alphabet Booklets Project

On September 12th 2008 the first booklets are sent out. Not that many, but every week a few. In each booklet I have already worked a bit. Dangerously, because someone who receives it might want to keep the booklet. On the cover one letter. The whole alphabet (in many variations) will be sent out.

On the backside of the booklet this text. As the booklets come in I will have the letters to form words with. Randomly I will see what the mail delivers. Each letter goes to a person connected to that letter. Eventually this blog will form the documentation of this new project. If possible another form of documentation will be made as well.

I only hope that several booklets will make ik back to me. I know from past projects like these that the booklets become collectors items after a few additions. Therefore it is always a risk to start a project like this.
